What is a reverse jewelry auction TM? 1. PicturesOnGold.com posts brand new unique items at an already discounted price. 2. If item doesn't sell in 48 hours, PicturesOnGold.com will deduct 5% from the already discounted price. 3. If then item still doesn't sell PicturesOnGold.com will continue to deduct 5% from the already discounted price every two days for 14 days. 4. If the item doesn't sell after 14 days, the item will stay at this low price for 2 weeks. Then PicturesOnGold.com will make a decision whether to relist the item on the reverse auction or keep it at the low price and wait for a purchase.
How low are these prices? These prices are incredibly low. We would say they are 50% off the retail price to begin with. If you purchased these items prior to our reverse auction process begins, you'd already be getting an excellent price. After the "reverse auction" the prices listed are way below even wholesale cost.
How can PicturesOnGold.com sell these items at such great prices? PicturesOnGold.com has many items stocked for a few years when the gold prices were much lower. Items shown here can be seen at local jewelry stores and other online retailers for double the price because others are purchasing these items at a $900 gold price, we purchased some at $400-$500 gold price which allows us to liquidate our inventory for less.
