How to Add a Photo Into Your Locket!
Written by picturesongold on April 2, 2010Nowadays it’s a lot easier then it was years ago to add a photo into a Locket. But it’s still a tedious task. The items you would need are:
1- Scissor
2- Photo Editing Software
3- A ruler
4- The template from Inside Your Locket
Step1- Resizing your photo in the computer
There are several ways to get your photo as a digital file into your computer. You can Scan yourself, move them over from your camera, or generally the place where you get your photos printed can provide you with digital copies on cd.
Step2- Measuring Out The Inside Of the Locket with the ruler-
Measure the height and width of the interior portion of the locket or simply pop out the plastic inserts that come with 95% of lockets and measure them. You can pop them out with a pin or paper clip. Just be careful not to scratch the locket.
Step3- Cropping the Photo-
Enter the measurements into your photo editing software and crop the photos to that size. I would make a few different variations of the cropping just in case you happen to want something different.
Step 4- Printing
Print the photos on your color printer. Ensure you’re using the highest quality photo setting available on your printer.
Step 5- Cutting
Line up the plastic templates you popped out from the locket up against the printed sheets and trace a line around where you’d like to cut. Then cut around your template.
Step 6- Inserting the Photos-
Simply place the photos inside the locket, then push the clear plastic back into place.
That’s it. You’re done!
