Q: My funeral home offers this service but your items are much more reasonably priced, why is that?
A: We manufacture all of our jewelry right in our factory in Staten Island, NY. Funeral homes are buying from other vendors, like us, and then reselling to the public to make a profit. Since you are buying direct, you save.

Q: How can I get my babies fingerprint to you? Do you supply a kit?
A: The best way to get any fingerprint whether it be baby, child or adult is a simple ink pad. You can go to any local drug store or office store and get an ink pad and simply press the finger in the ink pad and mark it on any piece of white paper. It´s really easy. We suggest giving us a number of different ones as well and allow us to choose the best and clearest print.

Q: How do I know if the quality of my print is good enough?
A: Majority of the time we spend making your jewelry is modifying the fingerprint to ensure it looks perfect on the jewelry. In the rare circumstance that we feel the results won´t give the quality we expect we´ll alert you and request another set of fingerprints.

Q: How can I get you the fingerprint once have it?
A: Once you have the fingerprint you have 4 different ways to send it.
Upload - You can have it scanned in the computer or you can scan it in yourself. Then, you can upload it with the order. We have an upload option when placing the order.
Email - you can email the photo over as well. A lot of the times people select this option when they either do not have the print handy, or they have someone else do it for them. After you place the order you email the thumbprint with the order number we give you to orders@picturesongold.com. The website will tell you all of this as you are placing the order.
Fax - Since most fingerprints are black and white you can even fax them in to us, although email and upload you get the best resolution from. You would place your order and select the fax option then fax your print along with the order number to 347-521-1194. The website tells you all of this as you are placing your order.
Mail - this is the slowest method, but some people just do not have the capabilities of scanning, emailing, or faxing. We do send the prints back along with the order. Just select this option then mail in your photos to our address along with the order number. The website reminds you of all of this as you are ordering.

Q: How do I get a fingerprint of the person if they passed away?
A: Funeral homes normally have records of the fingerprints on file so you can call the funeral home and ask them for it. Normally they will even send it to us themselves. Most are normally very understanding and aware of the product and would love nothing more to help. Let us know if you need help retrieving them, sometimes we can call over and get it done.
